Job Summary:

This position will monitor and improve organizational processes throughout the business to make them as safe and efficient as possible. The CI Specialist will be the on-site “champion” to lead value stream mapping activities, mentor fellow employees on LEAN, standardize work procedures, implement new product lines into production, and effective problem-solving techniques. Working across Catalyst and with selected consultants and state agencies, this individual will drive local CI efforts to improve employee well-being, customer satisfaction and Lamvin’s financial performance by continually identifying and removing “waste” and supporting growth initiatives.


§ Lead Lamvin’s continuous improvement program

§ Serve as the primary on-site resource for questions and training on LEAN principles, methodology and tools

§ Work with the GM and across Catalyst to identify and drive local improvement activities which increase employee safety, product quality and manufacturing performance

§ Provide regular updates to employees and management regarding the impact of ongoing CI activities as well as planned future events

§ Never stop learning – stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, available training grants, etc., through research and networking with subject matter experts and industry associations

§ Drive the 5S mindset within the Oceanside facility, applying it well beyond shadow boards and workstations to create a true visual factory


  • Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years leading continuous improvement activities on a shop floor
  • Strong working knowledge of LEAN principles, methodology and tools
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • HS diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
  • English fluency required; bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred

Job Summary:

The Sales Director for Lamvin Inc. is responsible for driving revenue nationally, ensuring the company meets expected sales targets. A key part of this role will be representing Lamvin’s capabilities to independent representative organizations. This includes all activities relating to introducing the Lamvin brands and excellent customer service to existing and new customers, prospects, and specifiers. Lamvin Inc. manufactures architectural acoustic wall and ceiling products in an array of designs.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate, select, and train new and existing manufacturers’ representatives nationally.
  • Visit and build rapport with consultants, engineers, contractors, architects, and anyone with influence to drive product specifications.
  • Direct Sales Rep Team to identify and establish priorities as well as plan for future sales strategy.
  • Coordinates with Executive staff reviewing results of marketing programs in place to determine effectiveness and future marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate and participate in Trade Shows on behalf of Lamvin Inc.
  • Participate in conducting on-site product training as needed.
  • Provide forecasting and market information as requested by Catalyst Acoustics.
  • Assist with new product development and product launches.
  • Participate in training to learn about the product, manufacturing, pricing, mastering company presentations, and lunch-n-learns.

This inside estimator position for a manufacturer of Noise control products requires working cooperatively with existing customers as well as occasional new contacts. Receives (by telephone, fax or email) requests for quotations and subsequent orders. Provides customer service, quotations, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders.


§ Receives requests for price quotations, purchase orders, and order changes directly from customers and distributors.

§ Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.

§ Uses a computer to retrieve customer information, enter quotes, process purchase orders and other duties essential to the job.

§ Makes price quotations on standard items.

§ Interprets customer requirements and determines individual system components to obtain accurate cost
